Consecutive HAF success for Riana Development Network

What is HAF? The holiday activities and food (HAF) programme provides healthy meals, enriching activities, and free childcare places to children from low-income families, benefiting their health, wellbeing and learning.
This Easter, RDN was proud to successfully host two vibrant Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes through our youth clubs, Mission Hall and Dukes Meadows. Across the two sites, 72 children participated, with 33 registering at our newly launched Mission Hall youth club (21 seniors and 12 juniors), and 39 at Dukes Meadows (24 seniors and 15 juniors).
Two exciting weeks, we delivered a variety of activities designed to entertain, inspire, and support the children. Highlights included visits to Laser Quest, Hanwell Zoo, Helix (World's tallest tunnel slide) and several other activities across London. In addition to the outings, our talented youth workers organised creative painting workshops and outdoor games, ensuring that every day was packed with fun and opportunity.

Feedback from the children was overwhelmingly positive. When asked about their favourite activities, many shared that visiting the zoo and playing Laser Quest topped their lists.
Participants also warmly praised our staff, describing them as "fun," "beautiful," "polite," and "helpful." Parents also expressed their appreciation. One parent shared: "You have a good programme and a caring attitude towards people. Personal thanks to Syreeta."
We are deeply grateful to our dedicated RDN staff, Hounslow Council, and the Department for Education for making this programme possible.
We look forward to welcoming even more children during our HAF summer programme later this year!
