Privacy Policy for RDN

At RDN, we are incredibly grateful for your support. Whether you are using our services, volunteering, or donating, we want you to know that we take your privacy seriously.

This policy explains in plain English what information we collect about you, why we need it, and how we keep it safe.

What information do we collect?

Depending on how you interact with us, we might collect a few details from you. This usually includes:

  • Personal details: Your name, email address, phone number, and postal address when you contact us, sign up for a newsletter, or ask for help.

  • Donation details: If you kindly donate to us, we will collect your payment information (though this is processed securely, and we do not store your full credit card details).

  • Website use: Like most websites, we use "cookies" to see how people use our site (like which pages are most popular) so we can make it better.

Why do we collect this information?

We only ever collect what we absolutely need to help us run our charity and support our community. We use your details to:

  • Provide you with the services, advice, or support you have asked for.

  • Process your donations securely.

  • Keep you updated on our work, campaigns, and how your support is helping (but only if you have told us you want to hear from us).

  • Improve our website and services.

Will we share your information?

We will never sell your personal information to anyone.

We only share your details when it is strictly necessary to run our charity. For example, we use trusted partner organisations to help us securely process donations or send out our email newsletters. We make sure these partners follow strict privacy rules and only use your data for the exact job we have asked them to do.

We would only ever share your information with outside authorities if the law forced us to, or if we believed someone was in serious danger.

How do we keep your data safe?

We treat your personal information like it is our own. We use secure computer systems and train our staff and volunteers to ensure your details are protected from being lost, stolen, or accessed by anyone who shouldn't see them.

You are in control

It is your information, and you have rights over it. At any time, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you exactly what information we hold about you.

  • Correct any mistakes if your details have changed.

  • Stop sending you emails or letters.

  • Delete your information from our records entirely.

  • Please be mindful to the size of our organisation and it may take us longer than 24 hours to respond.

You are in control

If you have any questions about this policy, want to change how we contact you, or want us to delete your data, we are always here to help.
