Netball Fever hits Hounslow

There was a sense of excitement as Lindsay walked in on the participants as many of them were amazed at how tall she was.

The turnout was large and boys and girls alike got involved in passing, shooting and footwork skills to improve their game. When asked what was their favourite part of the session, the group unanimously said, “Shooting!” There were some impressive shots on display too as the day rounded off with a competitive match.

Lindsay was impressed with the energy, enthusiasm and talent of the children with many of them trying out netball as a new sport. From a young age, Lindsay was inspired by her aunt to get into the sport, despite having a previous love for swimming. She has now made it to international level, representing the England netball team in multiple events.

Rodgers Orero, project coordinator said, “It was quite inspiring to see Lindsay pass on skills to those who had not even tried netball before. I believe that today has really motivated others to take part in netball in the future.”

On Saturday 4th June, Lindsay will be returning to deliver another inspiring session. If you are interested come along to:
