It was a community event organised by the local residents from Edensor Gardens in partnership with Riana Development Network to bring residents together.
As well as this, a group of us NCS volunteers came to help out with the event as we had been working with Riana for the past few weeks to bring this event together.
There was a variety of activities and stalls on display during the day such as: Arts and Crafts, Face Painting, Food and Drink, Live Music Band, Brentford FC Sports Activities, Dr Bike - Free Bike Check Ups, Information Stalls, and African Cultural Jewellery.
As an NCS volunteer, I can say that it was an enjoyable experience and that people thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There were lots of people queueing for face painting and lots of people dancing to the live band music! It was a great day and I 100% recommend that it becomes a yearly event.
