Growing Healthy Together project: Riana and Groundwork community allotment

Preparations have been going on over the last months to make plots and seedlings available and ready for individuals and organisations interested in community allotment as a unique ‘growing healthy together’ opportunity.

Now’s the time to connect with us and join in – the team are very dedicated and friendly trainers from Groundwork South, friendly volunteers from Riana Development Network and we have plenty of tools, water in very close proximity with hose pipes if you need them.

There is all the support one would need for a successful vegetable growing season with all the fun, let alone the advantages of having a community allotment.

It is located next to a park.  Riana Development Network is using the opportunity to involve  young people with a view of dealing with the intergenerational gap – so they are very keen to hear from organisations working with young people.

There are a lot of opportunities to be involved and we are open to new ideas while promoting healthy living, inclusion, integration and acceptance in our community.

If you are interested in joining in, please email Alison Greenhalgh or Rodgers Orero.
