On Sunday 17th November, a group of the Riana Development Network Supplementary School were
invited to attend the very first OnSide Youth Zones Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.

During the ceremony, young people who have contributed to their community, in many different ways, with outstanding achievements were recognised and presented with different OnSide awards. Some of these awards included: sports, music, and health and wellbeing.

The evening was full of exceptional performances from some of the nominees; The Script with their top hits ‘Superheros’ and ‘Hall of Fame’ which had the audience standing and singing along.

HRH The Duke of Sussex attended the ceremony where he delivered an exceptional speech emphasising the importance of making a difference in the community and overcoming challenges together.

The young people who attended the ceremony from the RDN Supplementary School were inspired by the ceremony and performances. They strongly recommend attending the event next year to see more of what the different organisations are contributing to society.
