New beds installed at Cranford Community Allotment

Riana Development Network has continued to grow its partnership with Cranford Primary School with the installation of 8 new raised gardening beds in January 2020.

The beds are used to incorporate outdoor learning into the school curriculum and after-school activities. Each class has their own bed to grow their own produce with one additional demonstration bed for workshops with students and members of the community.

We have saved a fortune on vegetables since we joined this project! - Local resident

The gardening programme in Cranford has continued to have a positive impact on local community members. Previously, yield from produce was poor due to lack of knowledge on when to plant and the availability of seedlings. The installation of beds have benefited users of the allotment who are now able to use the seedlings to boost their produce.
